Acorn Communications is a marketing consultancy with a strong focus on helping start-up and small businesses to establish and grow their businesses. Acorn specialises in defining the overall marketing strategy making further marketing activity easier to plan and implement. Even the smallest of businesses will benefit from good marketing planning.
Marketing is our passion and we want to take out the mystery of marketing by coaching and empowering business owners and managers to carry out their own marketing with supportive and expert guidance.
We are also keen to share our marketing knowledge at business and networking events and to encourage an interest and awareness of marketing to young people in schools and colleges.
Acorn are establishing themselves as experts is in the field of marketing and are often asked to give talks, seminars at business events. In recent months, these have included Business Link conferences, talks at Women in Business, Sevenoaks Chamber of Commerce and The Women’s Company networking events. We also go into Schools and Colleges to give careers talks on marketing and provide marketing input to schools enterprise and business events.
Acorn’s strength lies in providing a complete and full marketing service by having a strong network of business and marketing specialists that are bought into each project to ensure expert and up-to-date knowledge and service.
Caroline Aitken – Director
Caroline has over 23 years practical marketing experience and holds the IDM Diploma in Direct Marketing and a Diploma in Public Relations from the London School of Public Relations.
She has worked for a number of large corporations including Vodafone Ltd, 3i plc, Lyons Tetley and Trusthouse Forte. She also carries out marketing projects for many small companies and has considerable experience with start-ups, SMEs, self–employed individuals and other small businesses.
Caroline also has personal experience of starting up and running a business. In 2002, she successfully set-up and launched Family Interest Magazine which she grew over six years before selling the business to a larger media company. Acorn Communications was set–up in early 2007 and has grown consistently since then.
